For when discernment lands

Father,

I come to you today with many feelings,

foremost I thank you for the calling you have placed on my heart and the abounding grace you have given through this opportunity.

I always thank you as I remember the professors who have worked by your benevolent hand in this world.

Because through them you have worked your will upon me, that I may conform to what you call me to in this world, service to my faithful savior, Jesus Christ.

I thank you for the abundant fellowship of the Holy Spirit through this time of chaos, through the moments asking for discernment I thought might never come. I thank you for the discernment brought from those you sent with work in their minds that gave discernment.

I thank you that you are a God of wonder and grace that you may hold me in your hand in the world, that a tear may not fall from my eyes without Your will in Heaven.

I ask always for discernment through times of ease and trouble, for your gift of grace is the only true discernment in this world fallen entirely into sin.

Shape me, Lord, to be your agent on this earth, destroy the foundations of what I have built of my own accord for myself and build a new foundation that does good works for you. I know this may pain me, and I may feel loss, but Lord, your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven.

For when I hear of your great works, and feel your great discernment wash over me I understand this to be your work in my life, Lord.

Thank you Lord for this great opportunity to feel loss, discernment and to be brought closer to you.

I am ever so excited in anticipation for the work that I am to do with this discernment for your Kingdom, oh Holy Lord.

May the grace of God the Father and the abundant fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with me as I transition to this new chapter.

Amen
